Tom Hardy cranks out yet another powerhouse performance as America's potentially most notorious, dementia-ridden gangsta of all time, as does Josh Trank prove a genuinely incredible talent with a mere "screw-up" under his belt.
I suppose the most disappointingly unresolved finale possibly of the decade can only detract "so much" from an ultimately excellently crafted film (both by Kenneth Lonergan and its cast of perfection).
Kaufman's directorial debut proves to be purely frustrating within its opening moments but ultimately and gradually proceeds to grow into something far more confounding, astonishing, and unreservedly human than ever imaginable.
Well, it was certainly better than Inside Man.
Rogen's sci-fi-esque/fantasy/screwball comedy can certainly be more than weirdly enjoyable at times, however that doesn't alter the fact that a half-assed script is and will always be a half-assed script.
