Stunning visuals with a storyline that is more valid now than ever. V For Vendetta has a lot to say, as long as you have the attention span to sit through it all.
A film that pays service to it's loyal fans that migrated from the webseries the movie is based on. A modest budget was squeezed and ringed out with a lot to show for it. Certainly with a bigger budget and more time to fine tune the script, this would have been a blow out. Nevertheless, it is still a good film with a great cast and a relatable story of guilt and redemption to tell.
If I could possibly rate lower, I would. The first and only time a movie made me sick to my stomach without even the plot to justify it. A sick mind and horrible decision making made this movie possible. Time I will never get back.
Hilary Swank brought the story to life like no one else could. It's heartbreaking and thought provoking true story is told by a talented cast in just the right light to remain both respectful, and wary of the flaws of the people the film was based on.
A grim look into a society without the ability the conceive children. With it's dark images that mirror modern society and ending that is far from anything resembling happy, this film isn't for the lighthearted movie buff. Instead it is an honest look at a crumbling society that doesn't ask for anyone's approval, nor does it need it.
