While growing up I liked the original Jungle Book. I didn't love it but I didn't dislike it either. I went into this movie with moderate expectations. I figured it would be similar to other Disney live action remakes. Boy was I wrong. This film does a great job of staying loyal to the source material while also changing it up enough to provide a new and fresh adventure. The voice acting was great and the casting for Mowgli I felt was perfect. Even the take on the classical songs I thought was spot on.
To be fair this movie had the best setup of all time. I set the bar for this film very high and I am happy to report that it did not disappoint. It was amazing in almost every way. There were some genuine laughs and tears, a fantastic villain and a battle that may never be topped. With so much to juggle this movie could of felt overcrowded and rushed but they gave it the time it needed and created a masterpiece!
Aladdin was a fun ride throughout much like the original animated one it is based off of. I really enjoyed the remakes of the songs and thought they were really well done. I also felt that the first 2/3 of this movie were really great. It was at the end that it seemed to lose a bit of steam. Jafar seemed unintelligent and way too young which made him a far less worthy villain than his animated counterpart. That is made up for however with great casting for Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie.
Toy Story movies are never bad and they have built something truly special with this series. After what I thought was a perfect ending with Toy Story 3, I was surprised to see a new one. This movie delivers some genuine feels and provided Bo Peep with the character development she always deserved. My only drawback with this movie was I felt it was more Woody's movie and not as much about Buzz or the rest of the gang. Still a good movie but for me not as great at those that came before it.
This movie does it all. It pays tribute to the M.C.U and what came before it. It continues Peter Parker's love story with M.J. It has a well throughout villain with a twist and it has some truly funny humor. The casting for this movie was right on and the jokes seemed to really land. One of my favorite Spiderman movies to date!
