Not so much a thriller than a character study about the effects of psychological damage and compulsive disorder. Acting was good, and a unique viewing experience. I liked it but it felt like two movies threw together, and i was expecting a big climax for this 'thriller' and it went a totally opposite way. 3.5/5
A decent thriller/horror featuring some nasty thrills along the way. Not as gripping as it could have been, and pretty generic (aka The Last House On The Left, I Spit On Your Grave), but a solid hour and a half for what it is. 3/5
After a gruesome and quite shocking albiet quite funny opening, this movie just goes... nowhere. It can't decide to be a thriller, action movie, satire or comedy. Instead it blends all genres with boring, predictable results 1/5.
One of the best thrillers i have watched in a long time! Great twists, action, tension, and acting. And scary! 4.5/5
Although this is a sometimes funny, colourful and female driven romp, it wasn't the best film that should have been released. Still, it passed the time, the cast all gave 100%, and the action scenes were amazing. 3.5/5
The downside to this movie is that it was promoted as a view from Ted Bundys other half at the time. What we get is a re-enactment of court documented remakes that tell no different information. This is a project aimed at Bundy, no other version is told. And at this point, why should a serial killer be celebrated in this way. 1/5
The storyline could have been executed better, it was a film i had seen before, bits and pieces of other movies. But it still was worth a watch. Some good jumpscares, but it will never go down as a classic. 3/5
Literally the most boring movie i have ever seen. Unlikable characters, the whole vibe is WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE STAYING HERE. And it took long for any pay-off. A well directed snooze-fest. 0.5/5
There is nothing remotely scary about this film, apart from one scene which was quite brutal. Everything else? Meh. Predictable sequel to a classic. 3/5
This film is a tough watch. Very realisitc in the sense of how serial killers work. A disturbing film in my opinion. Gripping but something i wouldn't watch again.
First things first: i enjoyed this movie, with some downsides. It Chapter Two wasn't perfect, but it did bring some good twists for me, as i hadn't read the book. The jump scares: very meh. In the whole movie i jumped once. The only reason i included this count was because there was so many potential jump scares that didn't work. Pennywise was also less frightening in this movie. The cast worked well together and Bill Hader stole the show with his one liners. As with the original, the group dynamics interested me more and the finale did bring a tear to my eye. I was never bored through-out the runtime. Go watch even once. 3.5/5
Its impoissble how utterly dull and dumb this movie is. With so much talent behind the scenes, where did it all go wrong? The story was non-sensical, with zero thrills, and the actors looking like they were going through the motions, almost as if they could tell how bad it was going to be. 0.5/5
Whoever thought this was a good idea has longgggg been fired. Horrific film. 0.5/5
First off: Joaquin Phoenix steals every scene in this movie, his performance is nothing short of spellbinding. This take on the Joker is especially different than previous iterations in that it is more a charactor study on someone with mental health issues, who snaps back at a cruel world. Dark, moody, with some blood-shed and splashes of dark humour, it is especially different than the majority of comic-book movies out there. Something i really appreciated. With great twists this Joker is not playing around. 4/5
A step above the majority of sequels, but still disappointing as a prequel to the alien series. The plot is just plain over-bearing, the engineers etc are not that interesting. Decent at best. 3/5
On the same level as the original. It doesn't aim to be anything other than a stupid B-movie. 1/5
Terrible. This movie didn't have to be a basic, stupid B-movie, but that's exactly where it aims to be. 1/5
Better than the third installment, but still pales in comparision to the first two movies. Ripley now cloned, has DNA with the aliens (why), the action is sub-par and the supporting cast are extremely annoying. 2.5/5
