I like how it lets you wonder who the main vampire is. There are clues. But it's mostly just a film about vampires in California with lots of 80ies tropes from all kinds of genres. It's not that scary, sometimes funny, often mysterious, and never boring.
Like with most time travel films you shouldn't think too much about that. What's important is that this is funny, entertaining and totally excellent.
Totally atypical sequel to a most outstanding film. This is non-non-non-heinous!
The plot isn't too complex, but every time I watch it I have the feeling that I din't really get it. Not sure why. Maybe because of the unnecessary plot twist (this is in opposition to the original book). Still absolutely love it. And I like that there are no "good guys" in this film. There is no right life in the wrong one.
I love how this one allows so many different interpretations. But that could have quite an impact on how you like it.
