It is ehh at best. Shockingly not the worst movie I ever saw. Now that would be the dukes of hazard movie from the 2000s... THAT was bad. Casting Pia wasn't the best idea and maybe a script rewrite could improve the movie.
Very indifferent. That is all it deserves.
A classic movie! A must see from the 80s.
Ugh! I rather not. I saw this movie once and that was once too many! I want a redo button to decide to watch or not to watch. I'll choose the latter.
Boring. Very Boring.
Wasn't a bad movie. Sure of the jokes may not be suitable for kids... but parents please don't let movies be your kids babysitter!! (I shouldn't have to say it.. but apparently in 2020 it has to be said.. *cue eyerolls*). I find it refreshing when kids movies aren't all sappy rainbows and unicorns. I let my niece watch it and it's all good, we both have a laugh instead of one laughing and the other not.
Wasn't horrible but not 5 star-worthy. To be blunt it was a rather forgettable movie.
A great movie! Some comics fans may fight me on this BUT... Christopher Reeve will ALWAYS be Superman and Gene Hackman will be Lex Luther. Reeve played the role flawlessly, making it believable he was Kent but at the same time Superman. Hackman as Luther was an excellent casting choice, (yes Luther has hair and yes it's not "correct according to the source material") even taking that into account he played Luther convincingly. Almost as if the role was meant to be his. One of my favorites , if not. my favorite superhero movie.
A great movie showcasing how a guy who wants to be a cop (but gets rejected) is a key part in bringing down bad cops. It also exposes how there is a code in which *some* cops won't turn in their own when they do wrong.
I didn't enjoy this movie. I watched it with a friend who is an Elton John fan, she loved it and I was looking at the clock for it to end. So I guess for full enjoyment one would have to be an Elton fan.
One of the few movies that is based off a game and gets it right! For an example of a movie that gets it dreadfully wrong see Battleship. At times it can be goofy but not to the point it destroys the plot.
A movie based on the book. And for the easily offended I wouldn't recommend this movie since these were also the same people that want to take an Oscar away from a dead woman (I wish I were kidding). And can we please stop with the holding past movies to 2020 standards when back in that time it never existed!! Sorry history wasn't always sunshine and roses but we learn from it to not repeat it (deal with your issues). And yes the movie is a bit long (the same ones who complain over time are also the same ones that would watch and sing their praises LOTR, Titanic, and other movies that are way longer.. you know who you are). With that aside, a great historical period piece (yes it showed some of the wrongs in the past) but it was great in telling the character's story and showed Scarlett fighting with her sister over Ashley (an ugly dude but I digress). This movie helped put Clark Gable into icon status even to this day.
I wouldn't in anyway call myself a baseball fan (to be honest I don't even like baseball) but I liked this movie. And for someone who hates mushy gushy overload I even enjoyed this movie. Yes there are some parts that have emotion and may pull on the heart strings but not to a sickening amount, The main character gets closure since his father wanted to be a baseball star but it didn't happen for him. The father died which the rift between father and son never closed.
Strongly despise this movie. To convey why I despise this movie see the following list. I get remakes are to be expected since Hollywood hasn't came up with much original ideas in YEARS (and with that I realize is being extremely generous).
1. Ben Afleck sucks as Batman (he should stick with whiny soyboy roles and not f**k up superhero roles)!
2. Superman and Batman should NOT be fighting each other!
3. Batman being a punk and killing Superman. Batman needs to iron out his issues instead of going after someone who IS ON THE SAME SIDE!!
4. Jesse Einsenberg as Lex Luther?!!? Seriously Hollywoke how much stuff was in your drinks to think this was an excellent choice!?!!?!?
Some parts good but others bad. Teacher gets involved with a student. Student is crazy in the head and becomes obsessive. Student tries to kill to get her. Student dies via V8. Not the worst movie I've ever saw but it could benefit from a complete redo and recast.
