While not as good as say Terminator 2 or Aliens, Doctor Sleep offers fans from the original a very contemplative sequel that balances the well paced horror and characters perfectly. Very impressive from the opening scene to the very end, Doctor Sleep shows that a sequel can be executed very well through the right talent of the script and director. Great visuals, effects, pacing and of course great acting from Ewan McGregor and Kyliegh Curran. Defiantly worth a view or two~
A chilling, often baroque journey into madness of a person's mind, The Shining offers viewers a very unforgettable experience from beginning to end with unsettling visuals and music to add to the suspense and tension the film gives overtime. Not as faithful to Stephen King's other adaptations but defiantly adds to the film's overall identity and add all those elements together for a very great, scary time~
Starting a few ideas over from the series and picking up right after the second one, Dark Fate does offer fans ans everyone a somewhat better payoff with a installment with face-pace action sequences, more depth for the emotions of the characters and returning Sarah Conner and James Cameron to the franchise. Though not as good as the first three installments, it is far better then the last two by a fiery long shot.
With a few good scenes by the action and the effects, this installment felt the most clustered with it retreading the first installment in the same ways of Back To The Future Part ll, but not in the good way. Messing up the mythology of the series and lacking the depth of emotions of the series, this movie feels like a big mess. Though will say it is slightly more entertaining then Salvation, but not by a whole lot.
With a great potential of making a good installment set in the future, Terminator Salvation offers bordered to me and others in the process. The effects are somewhat decent and had a few good action scenes and acting here and there, but it is by far the most misguided sequel I've seen in a franchise but shockingly not god awful. Better words or short words is a little misguided.
