I think it's a good movie to watch, and for kids who aren't into Kiss, but a fan of Scooby-Doo then this is a movie for them to watch and see if they are interested in listening to some Kiss songs. But the movie makes me feel like it's cross between an Anime with the suit change and a superhero film besides begging a Scooby-Doo movie.
With Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, I love how they brought back some kaiju or monsters from previous Toho films, such as Kamacuras, Orga, Dagarla, Dogora, Anguirus, Rodan, and Mechagodzilla for a cameo appearance. The new creatures the Servum are really interesting new monsters in the franchise, including Godzilla Filius basically serving as the spawns of Godzilla Earth and I love the new design and history on Godzilla. Rather than basing it on reptiles just like previous incarnations of the character, they made him into a plant and I can see where the Anime filmmakers were going which I'm glad they went for that. The only main issue is with the main character Hauro Sakaki who resembles two characters, Eren Yeager, and Anakin Skywalker which it sounds like they're taking the original attitude from someone's characters. Overall it's a good Godzilla movie, I recommend people should watch this, but if you don't like it, then you decided on if it deserves a second chance. This movie shouldn't throw hate.
As you watch the "Superior 8 Ultra Brothers", you kind of feel this brings you back to see some of your favorite classic ultra-heroes. For example, seeing Ultraman, Ultra Seven, Jack, Ace, Tiga, Dyna, Gaia, and Mebius are good, seeing your favorite actors from the past shows and introducing 4 classic kaiju, but known as King Gesura, King Pandon, King Silvergon, and King Goldras and fan-favorite alien Hipporito better known as Super Alien Hipporito. Plus you got a new monster, Giga Khimaira which's a new twist to combine 5 Ultraman foes into one giant monster. Suit-acting is great, CGI is fantastic, drama acting is absolutely good. This Ultraman movie is a must-see movie even if it's not released in the U.S. it's still a great tokusatsu, superhero, and kaiju movie that all Ultraman fans and kaiju fans will enjoy.
I remember watching this movie way back when I was a kid. Even though it has bits of stock footage, but this movie is a message to people to work as a team. In Godzilla vs. Gigan, fans can see the powerful friendship between Godzilla and Anguirus which they are like Batman and Robin in the movie. Still, one of my favorite Godzilla movies when I first saw it on Christmas back in 2006. There was one other I found in this movie Godzilla and Anguirus start talking which I understand in the Japanese version they used speech bubbles. But besides all of that, definitely, a great movie and it's a must-see.
Watching this movie as a kid made me like it, but looking back at it again I felt like they could of use new fight scenes like with Gabara instead of using shameless stock footage from two previous films, Son of Godzilla and Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster. But I felt like parents need to teach their children how to stand up for themselves and walk away instead of fighting back at them, even though this film is geared towards children. I can see some people look at this movie with light-hearted nature but when you watch this movie it's the worst out of all the Godzilla movies. Everyway you look at it's terrible, US titled "Godzilla's Revenge" that leads me with one question. Who did the Big-G get revenge on? That's what I wanna know.
