Had to watch it several times because I couldn't stay awake, even when I would left where I fell a sleep. Bland performance from Brie Larson!
There was so much hype for this, and then the movie came out. Watch it, and realize it was more of a political statement, although I already knew this because even the trailers talk about it being a "black movie" which is fine by me, if it was good as they said it would be. But what I got was a movie that only focused in trying to be a statement and not really something to watch.
Another "political" remake, another failure. The worst movie of the franchise, by far, this is meant to be a comedy and i can only laugh of the people that made this movie and though it was good!
Loved the movie, and the franchise too. It doesn't need to complicate things, it is simple, and in it's own way a timeless Slasher, it promises that it's going to be a blood bath of horny teenagers. And it deliver's, there are movies nowadays (2019) that can't even keep a fifth of what they promise.
Too much of trying to copy the past trilogy, and to much of "woman can do it too." They can, so why copy?
It was a good idea (if it was a new franchise, wich is not), with a very bad execution.
