This series feels like Dungeons and Dragons written by a 16 year old Will Byers. The episodes have lengths and the characters are not likeable. A confusing story and costumes that look like they have been taken straight off the shelf of a cosplay shop complete the picture. So that the whole thing doesn't look like a Stargate meets Xenia imitation, a couple of Game of Thrones-like sex and brutality scenes have been added. All in all, a boring fan service for genre lovers.
The show starts great with the first two episodes and then goes downhill to finally have it's lowpoint in the last episode. The illogical and idiotic decisions that Gus makes, even for a ten-year-old, are sometimes unbearable. Even so, Bear and TJ follow him like two immature teenagers. I have no idea why this series gets such good reviews here. Maybe people only saw the first two episodes. It's a shame, the whole thing would have had a lot of potential.
