There is nothing much to this film, just a caring mans life. Yet Robert Zemeckis makes it so much more. I think Forrest Gump should be the person we all should aspire to be
The acting was horrible, the effects were extremely mediocre and the directing was very bad.
I've never been into the royal family's business, yet I think this film showed everybody the pressures of running a country at the brink of war in a very entertaining way.
Hacksaw ridge showed me how soldiers lives were thrown away like pawns on a chessboard. Worthless. Yet Private Doss shows that anyone deserves to come back home. It also showed me how horrible and violent war was, and only continues to get worse
The first quarter of this movie i really enjoyed; falling from the edge of space? absolutely! zero - g moon gun fights? thrilling! however, it felt from mars onwards, it was like i was watching a slow movie in slow motion. the ending was also terrible, since roy's dad's reason for going on project lima in the first place, was because he did not love his son (when watching this, it's like taking the stairs when you thought the lift was broken, but it wasn't). which is a shame really, since the visuals are stunning, the story was OK and the musical score was amazing.
