It's good with amazing premise and characters. The ending is too open for my tastes.
Just genius. A perfect unconventional character.
I don't understand why everyone finds this amazing. It's a mediocre action series with little to none action.
The plot is really poor and half of the episodes are fillers. If someone saw only the episodes 1, 3, 7 and 8 would understand everything necessary. In a 8 episode season it is really underwhelming.
The premise of a Clint Eastwood style western in the star wars universe is great as for the musics and Baby Yoda. All the rest is disappointing.
I had higher expectations and I am a little disappointed in what it turned out. The best character is (spoiler) dr Manhattan who sadly appears for just one and a half episodes. All the scenes with dr Manhattan are great and made for me worth the effort of going through the whole series, but it's not enough.
I do not understand for who is aimed this series. One who is completely ignorant about the watchmen universe will not understand anything. One who is a fan I believe will not like how the story has evolved. The ones in the middle like myself who have only seen the Zack Snyder movie and know the premises of the universe will find it average.
If HBO wanted to make this their new Game of Thrones they are dead wrong.
I have to say that I don't come from the books and I only played the the Witcher 3, so I have little to none nostalgia for the characters.
The casting for Geralt is great and Henry Cavill does an awesome job. Also Geralt's character I believe is well characterized and it's the high point of the series.
Ciris's ark and characterization is weaker but this is justified by the fact that she is only a kid at the mercy of events.
The character that I really did not understand was Yennefer. Her's motivations are unclear and questionable.
Unclarity and questions that remain unanswered are the leitmotiv of the series. Too may scenes are unanswered (eels, dragons, genies), too many names and places are unknown and it's not clear how much powerful are the characters.
Also i believe that it lacked proper fight scenes (except for the first episode that was amazing)
There is a lot to love in the Witcher and I am really engaged despite its flaws because I believe that it has the potential to become a great series. I hope that in the next season they will do a better job fixing the characters and world.
