I love romcoms. This one is really sad at some moments, even when it's trying to be upbeat and funny. Overall, the cast is good and it's got some endearing moments. Not the best romcom, not the worst. Entertaining and probably exactly what you need it to be.
I love this movie so much. It's a classic 90s romcom, with amazing actors and a compelling plot line. It's everything you want in a romcom, and it's one of my favorites of all time.
This movie is nostalgia. Nostalgia is this movie. It's a classic Disney romcom with a fun childhood twist. An easy and fun watch for all ages.
This is a movie that's a prime example of being exactly what it's supposed to be. It's a YA novel adaptation with a great premise, a solid cast (Lana Condor is great), and a good director. What more could you ask for with this type of romcom? Nothing groundbreaking, but it's not supposed to be. Would recommend for an easy and enjoyable watch.
Rating films based on books is hard, especially when it has to live up to the hype as a sequel. For positives, PS I Love You is well made and Lana Condor is really great once again. For negatives, the plot is slow and not nearly as entertaining as the first movie/novel. The first movie/novel thrived off it's interesting concept, whereas the sequel doesn't really have that anymore. Instead, it has to work off a more classic romcom format, and it doesn't work as much as one would want it too. My biggest problem with the film: it's a slow plot, and for some reason they didn't include the most action packed and excited part of the novel (no spoilers here). I don't get Hollywood sometimes. Anyway, it's a cute sequel but nothing I'd consider special.
