Loved it due the fun factor, hands down. I agree the omission of parts of the Arthurian legend left a bad taste in fans' mouths, yet the energetic take was a breath of fresh air after years of borderline operatic takes. Perhaps in the future a new version may learn to draw on the strengths of both takes, seeing as only going with one extreme, as such, marginalizes audiences and won't get enough bums on seats to be the true epic it needs to be. That said, I'd watch this one again simply for the fun, soundtrack Guy Ritchie-isms.
Not only refreshing in terms of a more realistic approach, but also packed with brilliant moments on that tight rope between horror and humour.
