This is the typical example of a show we didn't know we needed. The Harley Quinn here represented does not overshadow the Margot Robbie one nor feels like a knockoff in comparison. The overall series has its own style and aesthetic, reminiscent of the original material from the comic books, showcasing the versatility of DC when it comes to adult cartoons transpositions.
The series itself does not impress for its original screenplay - nor is its attempt - while it does focus more on the complexity of its characters, the real stars of the show. So, even if the plot may be familiar and repetitive, the vibrant world created in this Netflix original series is worth giving a shot.
Euphoria is doing something that many other tv teen series tried to do in the past - deliver some good drama and gasp-worthy plot twist, showcasing the ups and downs of adolescence with its own unique and over the top aesthetic. No one or nothing is a simple filler in this beautifully crafted flawed tale.
The RuPaul-created show, after a very non-memorable 11th season, came back "purse first" as its highest to crown America's Next Drag Superstar. The cast is fierce while the challenges are well constructed but a little bit too comedy-oriented. The overall hope for the rest of the season is to see more flamboyance, sewing challenges, and a showstopping lipsync.
