I watched this as I'm a Ryan Murphy fan however it felt too bright and cheerful for me. Jim Parsons role as Henry Wilson was brilliantly played, the other actors aren't as polished and it shows. Ryan Murphy keeps using the same young terrible actors for projects. The overall concept was a good idea and was entertaining at parts however it just felt a little bit too cheesy. The characters who played sexual predators weren't really portrayed too badly and seemed to work our well for them in the end, not a good move.
RuPauls Drag Race is getting every season. The target audience has been shifted slightly to mainstream audiences causing the show to make changes gradually over the past few seasons. I love the show and have done for some years, recently I'm not getting the excitement I typically get when a new season is out. The cast of season 12 is brilliant however drag race is definitely starting to feel overproduced, there's a fine line between high quality production and over doing it.
