This live action adaptation has hints of the show here, but ultimately succumbs to the bland Disney Channel formula with boring characters, a predictable plot, horrible effects even for the Disney Channel, and not enough of what made the show great.
Phineas And Ferb was my childhood. Seeing them return was something special for me. The movie has genuine laughs, a really neat story, great voice acting, the animation of the show taken a bit further holds up great, and overall I just had a great time with this movie. If you're a fan of the show, you will love this. Even if you're not, there's a lot to enjoy here.
Every joke falls flat, the fake accents are offensive, the story is cliche, predictable, and paint by numbers, and even the songs suck. There boat explosion scene in particular is played for laughs and it comes across as soulless and mean-spirited and it's turned into a running joke. I wish I could give this zero stars because this fails on every level
