Way better than the original. I've seen both, and this one is better in every way. The cinematography, action, dialogue, plot details, and acting are all better. It definitely delivers on a sense of being made to create a new and improved version of the original.
Super entertaining and intense movie that was never boring. It was also pretty creepy at points which is satisfying. I love how the main character is a woman because, usually, in movies of this nature, it centers around a man. The bad guys were great and were really believable. 10/10 GREAT MOVIE.
I would give it zero stars if I could. Atrociously bad.
Baby Driver was the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. Before you get angry, hear me out because I have some good points. First of all, the movie was extremely cliche. The relationship was way too fast paced, had no development, and was unrealistic because an innocent girl working at a diner would almost never fall in love with a guy who is involved in an incredibly dangerous life. This kind of relationship is also cliche and appears in many movies for some reason. The part where Bats "guesses the past life" of Buddy is fake and cliche. The troubled youth of Baby where his mom died in a car accident is also cliche. The sexy female additive is also really overused and lame. There is no way Darling could ever beat anyone up, nonetheless know how to shoot guns with that much precision. In fact, during one of the last action scenes, you can see the actress struggle to hold the two large guns. She looks more like a model or playboy model, and they should have casted a woman who actually looks tough and cool. The other members were also weak looking. Bats looked like a rapper that grew up rich, Buddy looked like a magazine model, and Baby himself was fake because there is no way he would be able to drive that well. Who taught him? His parents were out of the picture and his step-father was in a wheelchair. Also, Baby is said to have learned these driving skills 10 years ago. Does this mean he was driving like this at an age that young? Yes, because sources even say he was an expert driver at the age of 9. Impossible. The music thing was also irritating because the action syncing up with music is stupid. Why does Baby like old things so much anyway? This is because they are trying to make him seem edgy and cool, when in reality it fails because he isn't. His sunglasses and the way he struts with such arrogance makes him very unlikable. He comes off as the popular bully in high school. Speaking of this, isn't he supposed to be a quiet guy with a sad past? The movie couldn't decide what to make him: he's literally both of these and it doesn't make any sense. I was expecting something at least as good as Fast and Furious, but Baby Driver is so much worse. The soundtrack wasn't very good either, for it only had one good song and it's the one where he was running. In fact, the only good parts of the movie were when we was running from the cops and doing the stunt driving. The fact that this movie has a better rating on Rotten Tomatoes than every Star Wars and Lord of the Rings (expect 2 of them) is infuriating.
Pretty good, but it was a rip-off of Stranger Things. Could have been better but it was entertaining enough.
AWESOME MOVIE. Related to the characters. The plot was moving and had depth, and I never got bored watching it. It was cool how the film looked vintage, as if it was made in that 90s era. 10/10 GREAT.
