Cool actors, funny story, great entertainment.
Once again a Adam Sandler movie that is able to entertain you for 2:00h with a funny and not complicated story - it's one of those movies that you just look If you don't know what to do because it's neither a "quality movie" nor a really "garbage film".
The whole plot with the two families is hilarious: the Seymour jokes bring in a little bit of dark humor, Tyler's cousins are incredibly funny and it's so nice to see how they adapt to the other family & all the different characters like ignacio, the different aunties and uncles and all the cousins and Friends bring a very pleasant and funny environment. I really enjoyed to watch the movie and especially liked the part that we're really witnessing the whole preparation week (every "chapter" starting with a different day, till the wedding on Saturday & the last conversation between the two different dads on Sunday with the closing credits.)
Obviously not a Adam Sandler movie like uncut gems therefore not 5 stars but certainly not a cheap "Jack & Jill type of movie"!
This movie by Spike Lee is in my opinion awesome, and I really recommend everyone to watch this movie. I repeat in "my opinion", because I read very negative reviews about this movie.
With the few flashbacks back to the time of the cold war, the war fitting music of Marvin Gaye, and the great landscapes, the movie gives a little impression of that time. What I especially liked was that this is finally a really good war movie about the Vietnam war, with exclusively African-American actors in the leading roles.
The movie has great gunfights, an interesting story and the actors couldnt have done better.
