Some things I didnt like. Ill start with that. ITs the CHEAP managers and directors of special effects and sound that bugged me the most. The episode where he comes back to rescue the kid and he fights his way into the empires building, when he would blast someone , that laser bolt would look and sound like it really hurt. It blew a hole in the suits of the imperials. The edges of the hole would still show cinders. You could see the depth of the hole. And the black ash marks and the sparks from the impact too, all made that show legendary for me. HOWEVER it was only that one scene in that one episode where they decided to make a laser blasters effects fully shown. As IG-11 rides through the town with baby yoda on his back, he blasts trooper after trooper with not so much as a black ash mark on their suits. No matter where they get hit, the shoulder, the chest, the stomach, they all die instantly and fall down limp. Not so much as a black mark on the suits where the bolts hit. INCONSISTANT only because of one other word which shows itself over and over as the season goes on. That word is....CHEAP. Baby yoda is an alien. Hes green. He eats frogs whole. Yet his voice and sound effects are clearly from a GENERIC HUMAN BABY. Thats LAZY . Thats CHEAP. Thats literally trying to save a few bucks by not hiring a sound guy to make a new yoda baby voice that suits him. Same with the blaster effects. The sound is so cool and yet the impact is where the real emotion is and they just cheap out of that in every episode since episode 3. I hate that crap. You spend millions on special effects and budgets and you cheap out on blaster effects and sound. Another thing, ever hear of TAKE 2? Take 3? Take 4? No. Because directors these days think they can shoot a movie in one take , every TIME. The result? An embarrassing microphone hanging from a ceiling. Could have easily fixed it with a take 2. Could have easily fixed it in POST editing with a combover. But you didnt. WHY? Once again the answer is obvious. DISNEY is CHEAP. Thats the bad. The good is literally everything else you can imagine that isnt involved with being cheap. The casting is everything , no matter how good it is, the casting has to be right or it wont work. The casting is perfect here. Minus Pedro Pascal though. IN the suit the actor that does all the work is great. Pascal though, the first time I actually saw him with the helmet off, he looked like a little pansy baby who wanted to cry. I literally laughed at his face all bloodied. TERRIBLE director for not asking for another take 2 or 3. The whole time im thinking of him as an action hero, he takes off his helmet and practically whimpers like a little .... anyway I uncontrollably laughed because of the instant response I got from seeing him for the first time. So they cast his voice perfect but his face does NOT go with the helmet or body language of the mandalorian. Ive since seen all episodes in both seasons. I can tell you that everytime you see pedros face with his helmet off, his face says, Im more Pu$$y than Protector. Does he show a mean face? No. Does he show a cool persona? No. With his helmet off he looks like a suffering abuse and trauma victim. His face says...cry for me. Lol. What a joke. Should have left his helmet on and cast someone else for the face under the helmet. ITs not coincidence to find out then, that his brother is a transgender and hes a liberal nut job himself that compares conservatives to nazis but hey, he gets to keep his job and cara dune , the conservative STRAIGHT female on set gets fired for saying the same thing about liberals behavior against conservatives lately. The show though, minus its CHEAPness at times with special effects and its weak main character with his helmet off, delivers on the star wars promise of new worlds, alien creatures, space battles, and storylines. Its a fantastic show for all my criticism. Its the best star wars production since the first 3 movies. EP 4,5,6. Acting is good. Scripting is good though a bit cliche at times because its audience is rated E for everyone. Fighting is good for the most part. Cute factor is good if you can overlook the generic sound effects for baby yoda. Robots and aliens are everywhere and written into the storys very well. Its an awesome little star wars thing. It makes all the other high million dollar budget movies and JJ abrams and the other directors look like the overhyped morons that they are. This is how star wars is supposed to feel when you watch it. WELL DONE!

Im a conservative that used to watch the daily show and jon oliver and especially the stephen colbert show. Why? You ask? Because they were often smart about how they picked apart my parties weaknesses. So many many many times I agreed with Jon Stewart and Jon olivers show. Before the 2020 pandemic, it was content to jab at Trump and convservatives while mostly focusing on political issues that the public wasnt aware of. Like private schools scamming government money with no oversight. Farming regulations that force killing of animals with not much evidence as to the cause. It was tthings like that that kept me coming back to jon oliver every week. NOW though, hes abandoned the entire script for just trump bashing and conservative labeling. Hes just another arm of the state run deep state media now. His job every week , is to recycle the lies from cnn and msnbc over on his show. No more investigative journalism. Nope. Just conservative bashing and calls for more government power to control private citizens. These are liberals huh? Calling for censorship and control? This guy is now just another tool for the left to use as they see fit and Jon Oliver is OVERJOYED to be included in their little high school clic. Dont waste your time looking for new information anymore. He's a compromised little stool pigeon now. So is stephen Colbert and jon stewart. Watch jon stewarts mtv show in the 90's and pay close attention to how he acts now vs then. What a disrespectful punk he was to his guests. At least Jon Oliver looks like the rat he acts like. Liberals spread lies. Thats their new job.

Its not that the lead character has no sex appeal or screen presence or appeal at all. Its not that the acting and storylines were B rated hack jobs. Its not that the supporting cast was an ankle bracelet you barely notice. Its not that the fighting sequences were painful to watch. I could not get past episode 1 for one simple, show breaking reason. The bat suit is hideous. If I cant stand to see you, I wont listen to you nor give you my time.

It was overrated and overhyped. The first two episodes were clever. After that it became too boring and too cliche. Once they started with episode 4's BS. I was done. Pacing can be the death of a show to some fans. I also think the men in the show were all purposely directed to be morons and the women are all clever. Sorry ladies, but it wont make finding a good man any easier. Only harder. As more and more Sara Gilberts are taking over television, you will find the animosity against you to only grow. To me, this is a low budget and underhanded attempt to highlight I love lucy and bewitched as shows that hurt women's image. " Is he tired of You burning HIS toast?" No, but im sure hes sick and tired of your virtue signaling. At least there is one part of the show that made sense to me. Women build their realitys around fantasys and imagination and will rewrite things in their minds when it suits them. To that end, it was realistic. Women good. Alpha male bad. Move along.....

It really is the best thing to happen to the 80s generation since the actual 80's. The way this show represents reality and trys to balance the love the audience had developed for both sides of the karate coin, is some of the smartest I have seen. You can be rooting for one side with all your heart, then suddenly find yourself a bad guy and enjoying that as well. The flashbacks, the fighting, the writing and pacing are all another notch up from before. THe show seems to understand its target audience better than they know themselves. You have no idea how refreshing and needed this kind of production is for my generation. It is just smart television. Modern television. It really fuses its magical soundtrack with professional camera work and editing. The acting from everyone is also another level higher, shedding some of its earlier amateurish takes with some flavor of disney child acting for a more realistic , raw , teenage portrayal. Season 1 made us hope. Season 2 made us dream that this could be reality for TV. Season 3 shows us that these people seem to be the only ones that know how to produce something that can appeal to all audiences , teach valuable lessons, and NOT isolate millions of viewers with political messages. This is a family show. It is a COOL family show. It appeals to our base instincts as well as our emotional baggage that we all carry. If you loved karate kid 2 then the japan storyline in season 3 will be worth watching. I am not ashamed to admit that every season manages to make me laugh, cry multiple times, and pump my fist. The show is also managing to split my personality between cobra kai and miyagi do. If I was a student, I would have switched schools 10 times depending on who I felt sorry for the most at the time. How smart is the directing, writing, coaching, and cinematography , to be able to pull that off now; when no one else seems capable of coming close to this magical formula of all inclusion television? Every show that is trying to reboot something from the 80s or 90s needs to take note. You all are embarrassing yourselves when you are compared to this body of work.

Casting is everything to me. I have to see your face, it better be interesting. I have to hear your voice, it better not get on my nerves. I have to watch your body language , it better not be off putting (jack sparrow needs to vanish from time). The casting in this season is the best. Some of the best in Television. The acting and storylines played out, even if some are fake and rewritten from factual events, are some of the most gripping in television. Feel sorry for everyones darling princess? Yes but shes every bit as vain and attention seeking as the judgements claim. Shes every bit as much a dumb uneducated common girl as the royals despise. Shes practically little miss madonna of the UK and the problem with royals and commoners getting together is education and language. Someone really smart and educated cant get with a person that can only talk fashion , music, and the basic comings and goings of the weather. Shes every bit a sweet cute charming young woman as any man could want, but trust me when I say , I completely understand the other side also. She could have made MOST anyone happy but even the perfect girl cant make everyone happy. This season really did such a fantastic job of exploring relationship dynamics. I felt like I learned something new from watching the dramas on screen. The duty of the Queen is something they touch on every season and this season they do another great job of showing the Queen inside and outside her comfort zones. Finally , I will end with this, little miss Scully from the X files was so convincing and good as Thatcher that I didnt even recognize her. I went to look her up because the acting was so good, and I mean , SO GOOD, that I had to look her up to see who she was and it was Scully. Now I see her face really clear, now that I know its her as Thatcher but to keep me from seeing her face like that for the whole season until I looked it up really blew me away. I gotta tell you that the tension and emotion that is built up during each episode is remarkable. Its all about the acting and the acting is so natural that if you see any of these people in the street, your first instinct is to greet them by their formal titles. Yooourr maaajestyyyy. -Bows-

No reason to change any opinions I had from the first seasons review. Its just more Cobra Kai Gold. Great music, great sets, great story, great action, great drama!

Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai! If you grew up on Karate Kid movies like I did, then this series kicks you square in the head with fresh music, great family storylines, even better action, and those growing up moments you loved watching from shows like saved by the bell, all wrapped up with the perfect blend of retro throwback and modern perspective. This is how you are supposed to do remakes. This is how you do reboots. This is how you cater to the audience without making everything so obvious and pandering. New flashbacks with old characters. Old flashbacks with new characters. Interesting dynamics between characters. Evolving personas that change like real human beings. Everything about this is fantastic. The only negative , is that sometimes the cheaper production of netflix shows in some of its set pieces and some scenes should have be re-shot over and over until you get the perfect take, and you can tell many times that that effort was not made. Thats IT though. For me, it doesnt get any better than this. Its actually better than the original movies if you are a young punk just getting old enough to see these things. If you are older like me, Cobra Kai is dead equal and a legit part of the Karate Kid series.
