I love William Wyler; he directed my favorite movie, "Roman Holiday" so I was certain that I would like this one. Unfortunately I didn't like it much at all. I hated Bette Davis' character and until I read the synopsis on Wikipedia, I found the plot a little hard to follow. Bette Davis and Henry Fonda made an interesting couple. I may watch this again but not anytime soon.
It was fun watching the original "Mannequin" after such a long time but it was just as good asI remembered it. Hilarious and romantic, but also kind of silly. To be honest if anyone else besides Andrew MCcarthy had been in the lead role of Jonathan Switzer, I probably would not have watched this as much as I have. But it has great performances by Estelle Getty and James Spades. It's definitely an 80s movie, complete with music and the 8os clothes but that's what makes it so fun. It's one if those movies that you definitely can't take too seriously!
Not bad, which was a huge surprise, but not good either. Zooey Deschanel was a definite plus. Could have done without the nudity, but other than that it kept me watching till the end. And that is saying a lot.
