if you like slapstick comedy and/or sasha baron cohen then you will absolutely love this film. it had me howling with laughter; stomach sore, tears in your eyes laughter. it is a slapstick classic in my opinion. a must watch if you enjoy not so intelligent (or need a break from dry wit) comedy.

this is a really good film. a quality remake of a quality original. bradley cooper delivers as one has come to expect and lady gaga was very impressive indeed. interestingly i'd say that they both impressed in the areas where it is expected of the other; bradley for music and gaga for acting. this is definitely a good couples night out kind of film. certainly not all roses and bunnies but it was in every arena of film making that i can think of: script, casting, acting, direction, production, sequencing, pace, drama, score - quite brilliant.

i liked this film. it was quirky and a pretty unique take on mr. kringle. it wasn't terribly well fleshed out but mel gibson is a solid actor and delivers a good mix of intensity, whimsy, and some strangeness. it has it's moments of made for tv movie of the week for sure but 'd say this is worth a watch as an alternative to the normal holiday pablum foisted upon us this time of year.
