A mix between Starship Troopers and Edge of Tomorrow. Interesting concept and the action sequences were great, just felt they tried to force so moral dilemmas where there weren't any, could have had 20 mins trimmed down to feel sharper but the extra content wasn't boring, just slowed the pace a little. Sam Richardson & Yvonne Strahovski are great, Pratt is becoming a great lead action star. Worth a watch.
A good standalone MCU movie but didn't feel like it was anything fresh, as we've come to expect from Marvel recent stand alones such as Black Panther or Dr Strange. Florence Pugh steals the show & it definitely felt like a passing of the torch between ScarJo & her. Harbour is very funny and the interaction between the three is great; Rachel Weisz felt under utilised. Ray Winstones Cockney Russian accent almost ruins the movie. I would have loved to have seen more of Natashas spy side, but we only catch glimpses. A fun time, esp the action sequences but not upto Marvels recent outings.
It felt very Winter Soldier to me, swap BWs for Hydra, Taskmaster for Bucky & Dreykov for Pierce & you're pretty much there. Even the final battle is very similar, just not on helicarriers.
Interesting concept but pretty much a standard RomCom. Nothing new to the formula, every beat plays out pretty much as expected, apart from a nice 1 on 1 moment on the beach near the end (no spoilers). Enjoyable movie but probably wouldn't watch it again.
Liam Neeson on the phone is becoming a cliche now and this movie is full of them. Pretty much another movie trying to be Taken. Super predicatable, plotholes, infuriating decisions and wow Kate Walsh's acting is bad.
Jai Courtney saves this one from being a stinker.
