An extremely surprising experience from a 'cinematic universe' that is more like a roller coaster than any other 'universe' as its films are inconsistent in their quality; several highs and lows. While this movie felt like Snyder's first real success with these characters that had previously upset many comic-book fans. This 'hail mary' of a film is a real example of why a studio should not interfere with a director's vision.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie on the story and thematic level. Some would criticize the somewhat broad message that Peele puts into his films, but I believe that it creates another layer of interestingness to the film as a whole. Although, I concretely believe that it can be enjoyed off of the plot alone. Great switch up to the traditional 'family survives a nightmare scenario' that works very well.
