David Yates Trivia

Prior to being chosen to helm the final four installments of the series, Yates directed a number of Harry Potter actors throughout his TV career on The Tichborne Claimant back in 1998. These actors include Jim Broadbent, Shirley Henderson, Robert Hardy, Kelly Macdonald, Bill Nighy, Andy Linden and David Bradley. Yates has a cameo in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" as a wizard in a moving portrait situated on the grand staircase near the end of the film. David Yates is one of the "3 Davids" alongside David Heyman and David Barron, the producers of Harry Potter. They are set to collaborate on future projects. Yates is a graduate of Georgetown University, acclaimed author of "Harry, A History," and a leading figure of The Leaky Cauldron.
