A road accident fortuitously introduces a young woman to her soul mate, and she impetuously breaks off her previous engagement to marry her new flame and settles down to a life of wedded bliss. That's the premise behind CHALTE CHALTE, a romance that follows Raj (Shahrukh Khan), a trucker, and Priya (Rani Mukherjee), a beautiful up-and-coming fashion designer, as they travel the bumpy road known as "life after marriage." Economic pressures and class differences--she's well-to-do and he's not--exacerbated by jealousy conspire to undermine the couple's happiness, and shift the mood from light-hearted romance to confrontational drama. Johnny Lever contributes comedic interludes from the sidelines while the couple search for ways to overcome their marital woes. [More]

Reviews for Chalte Chalte
I was disappointed by the simplistic route Mirza takes...and the lack of unique situations that might have made Chalte Chalte feel more genuine.
