Basile has a dream where a mysterious figure warns him that his next sleep will be his last, and resolves never to slumber again. His intentional insomnia unhinges his mind, and he commits a series of murders that send him on the run from the authorities and the media--at which point Basile, in a bizarre narrative turn, becomes involved in a gang war as a man named Hector. Guiraudie's meandering and disjointed narrative structure has been compared to that of David Lynch. [More]

Reviews for No Rest For The Brave
Blending satire and thriller with a heavy dose of absurd surrealism, it's almost impossible to figure out. And yet it's still intriguingly enjoyable.
