The ideas and some of the individual bits in Zohan work, but the crudeness of the execution undermines the results.

Another sloppily concocted and naggingly non-controversial pretext for Sandler to pelvic thrust his way though a succession of increasingly wacky fish-out-of-water situations.

Zohan is both exponentially stranger than Larry and about twice as amusing.

This moviegoer has no trouble with lowbrow comedy. The problem with Zohan, however, is that it's like a kid who tells you a silly joke, gets a laugh, and immediately tells the same joke again.

I'm all for politically incorrect humor, but there has to be humor in the political incorrectness, and I didn't get it here.

Director Dennis Dugan knows his way around shin-whacking slapstick, and Sandler is mesmerizing.

I know someone out there must like these things, because Sandler keeps getting the money to make what is turning out to be the same movie over and over again, but I must not be tuned into his comedy wavelength.

The idea that the unholy trinity of Sandler, regular cohort Rob Schneider, and director Dennis Dugan could re-unite after ...Chuck and Larry begs the question: just how much did these guys sell their souls to get another film green lit?

You have to give Adam Sandler some credit: He is trying new things and working to expand his particular brand of juvenile comedy, albeit not always successfully.

Adam Sandler has a ball (pun intended) with this film, and we have almost as much fun as he does . . . for the first half.

Pointless, extremely awful film that proves that once again Adam Sandler is one of the worst "comedians" out there. This guy stopped being funny a long time ago, and he's way past his prime. Assembling a cast of mediocre actors except for John Torturro, Dennis Dugan directs a stupidity laced comedy that fails on every level. This film was bad and it did not have anything funny to entertain you. The only thing that this film proves is how bad Adam Sandler is at comedy. I personally think he should have quit after Big Daddy and The Wedding Singer. It's clear that he relies on nothing more but his act to try and make you laugh, which isn't. He made funny films in the past, but now his films are awful and tend to copy previous films, which make it uninteresting. Add to that a poorly written script with some offensive humor, and you have a film that is definitely not worth your time. This is one of those films that fail to deliver on the laughs, instead the use of comedy goes for offensive, and I have nothing against offensive, vulgar comedy if it's used in a clever way. However for You Don't Mess with the Zohan it's used to shock, and highlight the films utter lack of intelligent humor. Avoid if you want a smart comedy. You won't anything here to enjoy, this downright idiotic with a very poor cast. I don't see why Adam Sandler still makes films nowadays, he's horrible. This film along with Funny People is what made me lose interest in his work. I used to enjoy his silly humor, but not anymore. Watch Happy Gilmore instead, at least that one was good, harmless fun, this just sucks.
