Nothing special, but it's enjoyably manipulative and aided immesurably by Hurt's typically superb performance.

Facile, superficial melodrama. Tear-jerking instead of inspirational, Hurt has nothing to do but suffer mighitly on the screen. Uncharacteristic mishmash from director Irvin.
