Movie Info

Less than a year before James Cameron's turbo-charged sequel, Hollywood (or its overseas counterparts) still managed to find ways to retread the badly-worn theme of Ridley Scott's Alien, as evidenced in this 1985 low-budget item. When a mysterious canister is uncovered on Saturn's largest moon Titan, a dormant, eons-old monster is released, making lunch of both the explorers who discovered it and the rival corporation's exploration team which investigates their disappearance. Okay, the movie wouldn't be much without Kinski, but our German fiend makes up for it.

Audience Reviews for Creature

This movie is a cross between The Thing From Another World and Alien. Actually, in a scene that made me laugh, a character suggests killing the alien in the way they did in The Thing. By the way, the actors are just so-so, Klaus Kinski is the only big name in the cast. The best thing about this movie was the special effects and make up, it's unfortunate they didn't have a great story to support them. Overall the movie is bad, but not it's not one of the worst sci-fi horror movies.

A cheap knock off of Ridley Scott's Alien, I couldn't get into it, despite trying very hard...
