Pierce Brosnan stars as the title character in this made for television movie based on Daniel Defoe's classic novel. The film begins as Robinson is fleeing his native England after he killed a man in a duel. Boarding a ship slated to travel around the world, Crusoe braces himself for all the hardship and adventure such a voyage entail. Unfortunately, during the voyage, the ship sinks during a fierce storm, leaving Crusoe as the only survivor on a deserted tropical island.
