See more Joanna T @aerialgirly92 Apr 22 Lighthearted movie about a bad reverend who won't marry a couple until they take & pass his marriage course. But he makes them get into arguments, bugs their home, makes them withhold sex during his course til after the wedding, and has a weirdly young kid helping him. The couple was sweet though, and it was Mandy Moore & a guy from The Office. She is organized & on top of everything while he isn't assertive/confident so she doesn't rely on him. I thought it was interesting how they had realistic fake babies to take care of & she let him do all the work. They had a hard time agreeing on how many kids to have, which is an important thing to discuss before marrying so the movie had its points! In the end, they canceled the wedding but then changed their minds. The guy made an effort with his vows (writing them out in the sand) & they both commit to each other again. Reverend marries them but it was weird it seemed like he had a crush on the girl. See more Ben N @Bneffer Apr 13 Campy and singular in focus. The joke falls flat, after being told multiple times why wouldn't it. I wanted to like this, Mandy is so cute in it, and John and Robin are great actors. But this movie is just not good. The characters are unlikable and over-the-top, making it hard to care about anything that happens. Robin Williams does what he can, but the script is so poorly written that even his comedic talent can’t save it. The plot is predictable, the pacing is uneven, and the gags feel forced. Overall, I’d give it a 1/10—it’s easily one of the worst comedies I’ve seen, frustrating, annoying, and painfully forgettable. See more K P @kponag Feb 8 Jack Nicholson did mean and funny in Anger Management. Robin as a pastor is not only unlikeable but not funny. Something I never thought possible. Was so excited when I saw the unseen Williams flick. John Krazinski is the only decent thing in this flick. See more Alan S @Clark1958 Feb 6 No doubt, probably the most disappointing movie with Robin Williams I've ever seen. It was the only time I found it difficult, if not painful, to continue watching.
