Adapted from Mark Millar's hyper-violent comic book of the same name, director Matthew Vaughn's (Layer Cake) vigilante superhero film tells the tale of an average New York teenager who decides to don a costume and fight crime. Comic book geek Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) may not have good coordination or special powers, but that doesn't mean he isn't a fully capable crime fighter. After purchasing a flashy wet suit on the Internet, Dave starts busting up baddies with nothing but brute force. He

Most of the lessons in Kick-Ass are juvenile, but Lordy are they stylishly told.
I found it mighty painful sitting through all the bone crushing and blood-letting.
I know it's all supposed to be tongue in cheek and lots of fun, but frankly this turned my stomach.
When filmmakers nudge a child into viewing savagery as slapstick, are we not allowing them to do what we condemn in the pornographer -- that is, to coarsen and inflame?
Kick-Ass is some kind of twisted fun.
Everything you've likely heard about Kick-Ass is true, providing you've heard it's profane, outlandish, ultra-violent, shocking, funny and wildly entertaining.
... It feels fresh, with an edge about it that allows you to think anything can happen to any character at any time.
Defiantly irreverent and gleefully violent.
The movie just decided that thoughtlessness and splatter was its own reward. I'm okay with that.
Never has a title been so true, so funny, and so simple as that of Kick-Ass.
Kick-Ass is so refreshingly iconoclastic, it's a wonder it was made at all.
Kick-Ass is such an exciting, refreshing development in comic book filmmaking that I want to shout it from the rooftops
Kick-Ass es probablemente una de las películas de superhéroes más originales y divertidas que se hayan hecho.
Kick Ass is about as exciting as movies get. Not just because it is a (mostly) anarchic splatter-fest that celebrates (nay, encourages) acts of ridiculous violence, but also the fact that it was made completely outside of the studio system.
Taking a classic American template and bringing it bang up to date for the internet age, this is a movie that's slugged it out with Hollywood heavyweights like Iron Man 2, and beaten them at their own game.
The humour certainly pushes the boundaries, as much of it comes from dark places, but, believe it or not, it's hard not to laugh when an 11-year-old massacres a room full of baddies to the tune of The Banana Splits Theme.
A bait-and-switch movie that lucks out because its switch is so much more appealing than its bait.
Your appreciation will depend in how much you can appreciate it's utter wrongness as a twisted virtue.
It admires these heroes, invests in their story and asks us to pull for them with all our might. But it also deconstructs them, pities them, and wonders aloud why any of us would form an attachment to them.
Full of action, humor, spunk, I laughed i cried, i was like holy shit. This was full bore action with dark humor. Chloe Moretz is just awesome as Hit Girl. I mean just brilliant.

I am almost certain that Kick Ass will become a cult classic in a few years time because of it's unique visual style and it's courage to keep an open mind but I was very pleased to see the comic book genre broadening to indie territory and Kick Ass is leading the pack. Interestingly it's a moving film but not in the
