Sloppy, vulgar, and manic, A Haunted House 2 might be worth a chuckle or two, but mostly it's a string of pop culture references and crude gags that fail to hit their intended targets.

Though he's not for all tastes, there's something admirable about Wayans's willingness to do anything for a laugh, often reminiscent of Jerry Lewis at his most frantic.

Marlon Wayans' parody sequel is as inept and puerile as its predecessor, but let no one say its screenwriter and star doesn't give it his all.

Calling this one an improvement is like saying that being kicked in the shin is better than being punched in the stomach. Either way, it hurts.

What a nightmare! "A Haunted House 2″ is the kind of film that gives lowbrow comedy a bad name. It's just like the original, screamingly stupid.

Unless you've seen every awful horror flick of the past five years, you won't even get the jokes. A comedic dead zone.

A Haunted House 2 will satisfy only the basest of humours, while simply repulsing (or offending) the rest of us.

I almost laughed when Wayans pulled out a pair of nunchucks to stupidly battle a swarm of dark moths and nunchucked himself in the nuts.

The line between actual horror and lampooned horror tends to blur these days, and since this effort is neither funny nor scary, it won't help clarify.

A Haunted House 2 isn't the worst way to entertain a switched-off brain for an hour and a half, but it's nothing you haven't already seen.

A Haunted House 2 occasionally tries to be a legitimate horror movie, but just like the comedy, it doesn't really work. Basically, this means you'll be hit with extremely generic jump scares every now and then.

Audience Reviews for A Haunted House 2

Marlon Wayans is back for more spooky shenanigans in A Haunted House 2. Co-starring Jaime Pressly and Cedric the Entertainer, the cast has some impressive talent. And the parodies are pretty funny, spoofing such recent hits as Sinister, The Devil Inside, the Paranormal Activity series, and Insidious. Where the film gets into trouble is in the gratuitous sexual humor and vulgarity. That, and the storytelling does a piss-poor job at linking the parodies into a cohesive plot. A Haunted House 2 delivers some laughs, but there's just too much crudity and stupidity for it to be enjoyable.

A what NOT to do when it comes to filmmaking. Not funny or scary. Way worse than the first one and that one was pretty bad. This movie is so stupid, probably the stupidest this year. So stupid it's almost depressing. I guess it could be enjoyable for... maybe... people who have never seen a movie before? But it was so repulsive and offensive that I couldn't even imagine who would enjoy this. This one will unfortunately haunt you for days. Some of the gags do actually deliver, but not in the way that they should. This is the lowest Marlon Wayans has ever been. Its movies like these that make me wonder if the cast was forced to do this over contract... or they willingly did this... I really hope no one would be willing to work on this. Sometimes it's okay to shut your brain off and enjoy a few brainless comedy's... but this is one of the worst ways you could possibly do it.
