Jim's friends Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) are on hand to help with preparations, but the trio soon gets an unwanted fourth wheel in the form of the eternally obnoxious Steve "Stifmeister" Stifler (Seann William Scott). Meanwhile, Michelle's lovely younger sister, Cadence (January Jones), arrives and quickly becomes the object of affection for both the scholarly Finch and the loudmouthed Stifler. Who will win the heart of Cadence? And how many things will go wrong before Jim and Michelle walk down the aisle? (Hint: A lot.) By once again balancing the lewd and the crude with the touching, AMERICAN WEDDING continues the charmingly funny yet gross streak of the first two films. Anchored by creator/screenwriter Adam Herz's obvious love for the characters, the film begins with a hilarious proposal scene and keeps the antics coming. As with past films, Biggs and Scott are the instigators of most outrageous acts, but the movie also gives ample screen time to comedy veterans Eugene Levy (once again playing Jim's always-understanding father) and Fred Willard (who portrays Michelle's overprotective dad). A fitting finale to the series, AMERICAN WEDDING doesn't involve pie, but that doesn't mean something can't happen to the cake.... [More]

Reviews for American Wedding
Funny when it needs to be. I don't know what more you can ask from the third installment of a series that has gone further than anyone reasonably could have expected.
If there was ever a case of Hollywood's over-stroking a formula to squeeze every last drop out of it, American Wedding is it.
If you do not bring pride, good taste or sense to this third American Pie installment, you'll have a good time.
Dylan delivers a comedy just on the high side of exactly what's expected.
Even suckers for the first two American Pie courses will find this third helping indigestible.
Has some gut-busting moments, but for the most part the thrill is gone from what the ads describe as the 'thrilling climax' of this gross-out franchise.
An aimless charade of doggy poo, latex breasts and really, really bad language.
This is the funniest of the three movies. The new characters and the tighter focus are just what the series needed.
American Wedding has the decided taste of day-old bakery -- although, of course, that could just be some errant body fluid.
American Wedding celebrates limited comic imagination with the predictable outcomes of most dead-on-arrival WB sitcoms.
If you like the formula -- Hallmark card sentiments contracted out to hardcore youth offenders -- American Wedding may be the best of the trio.
Although the movie cheerfully offends all civilized notions of taste, decorum, manners and hygiene, it has a sweetness that is impossible to discount, and it is often very funny.
A gagfest that makes viewers gag at least twice as often as they giggle.
