Movie Info

The misfit kiddie baseball team from the first film is given the opportunity to play in a Junior League match between double-header games at the Houston Astrodome. Two obstacles stand in their way: beloved teammate Timmy Lupus (Quinn Smith) has broken his leg, and the team has no adult coach. Attempting to change their luck, star player Kelly Leak (Jackie Earle Haley) tries to talk his estranged dad (William Devane) into coaching and locates a self-proclaimed hotshot pitcher named Carmen

The comedic value of kids talking like a bitter pirate with hemorrhoids and smoking [was] played out mid-way through the first film.

This movie changes the cast a bit, and it's not as funny as the first either, I really didn't care for it.

If you can get past the fact that Matthau isn't in this, it's actually a really good sequel bringing back almost all the kids from the original film. William Devane does a great job as the replacement coach. Jackie Earle Haley is alittle older but is still effective as the know it all, rebel kid with a heart of gold.
