To survive harsh economic times, Calvin and Angie have merged the barbershop and beauty salon into one business. The days of male bonding are gone as Eddie and the crew must now contend with sassy female co-workers and spirited clientele. As the battle of the sexes rages on, a different kind of conflict has taken over Chicago. Crime and gangs are on the rise, leaving Calvin worried about the fate of his son. Together, the friends come up with a bold plan to take back their beloved neighborhood.

Barbershop the next cut is a the best hood movie I have ever seen. One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Great side plot/main plot. This movie made me laugh and cry. Amazing message and amazing way to end the series.

A fun movie with a nice message on preventing gang violence. Good performances from most the people involved, including Nicki Minaj which I thought was cool because most musicians are terrible actors/actresses (Ice Cube was born to be an actor btw he was just a rapper first). Whenever the movie focuses on Jaylen, it gets pretty darn interesting. I live in an area where the news is always talking about this terrible stuff and the lives it claims. So needless to say I enjoyed the movie.

It has the same ammount of energry, humor, and charm as its predecessors, but it plays it safe with the plot and writing. In fact, it retreads old plot points from its predecessors. The reduced role of Eddie is a major problem.

It's a little corny and unrealistic, and the stunt casting is a bit jarring, but once you get used to it, the end result is another fun trip back to the barbershop with old friends.

Another fun addition to a classic series. It lacked some of the fun characters from the first two but it was still fun to get a new movie from the series. Pretty serious issues were discussed as well.
