Audience Reviews for Bionicle - Mask Of Light

This movie was decent, especially comsidering that they based it off of toys. It had pretty cool action, but not great animation.

It was a cool movie. It had decent acting was the only problem. Otherwise, it had plenty of action and was enjoyable.

When my youngest brother was a kid...he loved the Lego Bionicle toys. He had a bunch of them, and when this Direct to DVD movie came out, he was quite excited. He got it on his 11th birthday, and was totally psyched. Watching it was the beginning of the end of his love for these toys. Obviously he was getting close to that age where toys become less important anyhow, but he knew even then that this movie sucked. He still has the DVD, and out of a sort of morbid curiosity, we popped it in...and it is the most bizarre toy commercial. Kids liked these toys because they could play battles with them and fight and stuff...this movie lacks all action and focuses on all this mystic stuff that is boring and makes little sense (there's a point where you have to stop making up words and start using real ones so audiences have ANY idea what you are saying). Most kids could make up a better story and action than this movie ever attempted, and I can't really see this movie encouraging kids to buy the toys if they didn't already have them.
