very worthy addition to the collection of any fans of late night chiller theatre
This was the first Franco flick I've seen and I've got to say I was impressed. I would love to see what Diabolical Dr. Z would've looked like in color, but it likely would've killed the atmospheric qualities of the movie. One of the more "slick" looking Franco films. Beautifully photographed in B&W. The fight in the hallway near the end is amazing. When Franco has the backers his films are unforgetable. This has all the key ingrediants of a solid Franco film. Including the ever reliable performance art scene in a club.
