After shock jock Jack Lucas (Jeff Bridges) inadvertently provokes a caller into murdering a group of innocent people in a Manhattan bar, he grows depressed and turns to booze. As he's about to hit rock bottom, Lucas meets a homeless man named Parry (Robin Williams), whose wife was killed by the caller Lucas pushed to the brink. Mentally scarred by his loss, Parry spends his days searching for the Holy Grail. Lucas, feeling culpable for the poor man's plight, pledges to help him in his quest.

I have always been a massive fan of Robin Williams' work, and it was long overdue for me to watch "The Fisher King." This movie stands out primarily because of the performance from Williams as well as Jeff Bridges, and even the supporting cast. The movie has a big heart and leaves a profound impact, and mixes comedy and drama very well. The story is a bit on the wacky side, but it makes watching it a unique experience, and I like it the more I think about it. Overall, this is a really good movie, which is elevated by unique storytelling and really strong performances.

Comedy?!!? To me no. Not because the story is evil in some ways, but because Π is called pie (again, and again, and no American will listen...) ☠️ Nietzsche is Neetchee, (but Niki is Naykee 😵‍💫 As bad as smorgasbord 😱) Give me a break! I love Robin Williams though, bless his soul. And hope he'll fix all this crap! Yes, I haven't finished watching

A strange beautiful film. Quirky as hell. At turns funny and shocking. Parts have not aged well. But for some reason a film that stays with me. If you haven't seen it well worth a watch.
