Great actors and great performances but it failed to transmit all the subtle and different stages of violence of the book banalizing it too much. I had a hard time understanding all of the events that were unfolding, so I was not really able to appreciate the whole plot of the movie. Despite its flaws, it was an incredibly well-acted movie, and its depiction of high society, where even the wealthiest vie for the most luxurious life possible, is grim yet realistic.
