What to Know

Critics Consensus

Hitman: Agent 47 fails to clear the low bar set by its predecessor, forsaking thrilling action in favor of a sleekly hollow mélange of dull violence and product placement.

The only actor in this movie that I felt actually brought his A-game was probably Rupert Friend... He was good as the character, but it was a boring, boring character. Go to Full Review

You'd think a movie based on a video game would have more streamlined action sequences instead of the muddled shootouts here. Go to Full Review

That none of it makes any sense is not a problem, but the failure to raise the temperature despite endless shootouts, punch-ups, car chases et al is a fatal flaw. Go to Full Review

The action definitely has more fire than the story or its characters, but that’s a pretty low bar. Go to Full Review

loice N @RT84928430 3d Agent 47 makes the movie so eye catching i love it See more youdont g @RT18868941 Sep 17 yeah thats what I woulda did See more Nicola R @RT46455340 05/19/2025 I've read other reviews and I seriously don't understand all the hate. Hitman original story for a video game that's just repetitive killing isn't half bad. Rupert is the best part of this movie and he brings a very different air to Olyphant did to the character. I wouldn't call this a reboot at all and I think that's where people are expecting too much. The actions scenes are methodical, much like the video game itself. Worth a watch. This makes absolutely no sense in terms of game cannon or general plot. Very dull. See more Drew W @RT62743612 02/12/2025 It takes a special kind of movie to be bad and boring.
