After multiple special teams fail to rescue a growing population of hostages held by Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein (Jerry Haleva), retired Navy pilot and American hero Topper Harley (Charlie Sheen) is called back to active duty once again. On orders from President Benson (Lloyd Bridges), Harley and his partners, Harbinger (Miguel Ferrer) and Rabinowitz, parachute into Iraq and struggle to free the hostages -- including the husband (Rowan Atkinson) of Harley's old flame, Ramada (Valeria Golino).

Audiences who enjoyed the first Hot Shots! will probably be tickled by this second helping, although the barrage of laughs miss more than they hit this time around.

Better than the first film, this fun, and still funny film, is crazy, insane, and...fantastic. The sequel improves over the last one, and hey, I enjoy it!!!

الفلم جيد صح مو بقوة الجزء الاول لكن مقبول . الممثلين كان ادائهم جيد . المخرج غلط من خلى بعض المشاهد طويلة و حواراتها ممله حتى لو كانت ساخرة مثل هيج نوعية من الافلام تعتمد على النكتة السريعة و ليست الحوارات الطويلة . اضافة ان القصة هذه المرة كانت شخصية حول تركز على البطل كثيرا عكس الجزء الاول كان اداء جماعي من الطاقم. لا ننكر ان الفلم فية بعض المواقف المضحكه و الكوميديا الجسدية و البصرية هذا ساعد لتخلص من شعور الملل و الاندماج في اجواء الفلم الفوضوية . التصوير كان جيد . الموسيقى مناسبة لكن في بعض الاحيان تكون موسيقى درامية لا تتناسب مع فوضوية الفلم .

A classic. A different league from the first film. A joy to see Lloyd Bridges and Richard Crenna. I miss them. Inspired to have Crenna in his Rambo role. And Sea Hunt for Bridges. Charlie Sheen, what happened to you?

With better jokes and more rapid-fire comedy thanks to the films (Rambo* and Apocalypse Now) it draws most heavily from having more material to work with compared to its predecessor, Hot Shots! Part Deux is an even better sequel with more spot-on humour. Don't listen to the critics, this film is definitely superior to its predecessor, a rarity among comedy sequels, especially if they're spoof films. *They even brought back the actor who played his mentor in those movies. This was honestly a more dignified send-off for his character than Rambo III.
