The storytelling is clumsy, the characters are befuddling, and the Wachowskis' action sequences - once so graceful and thrilling - are ugly, noisy, and worst of all, boring. Go to Full Review

Frederick Apr 23 Highly underrated movie… See more Kevin F @RT53835293 3d Always humorous to read the critic’s reviews that whine about "muddled" or "incomprehensible" storylines. Inevitably, they’re plots that are more involved that watching paint dry; typically science fiction. As the man said, that fault lies, not in the film plots, but in the film critics minimal brains. Simply put, Jupiter Ascending is an impressive blending of teen girl romance fantasy and SFX action pic. The plot is more creative than your typical big budget space opera, and the art direction is impressive. It’d be a smarmy action pic without good direction, solid dialogue, and another excellent effort by Mila Kunis, who breathes life into what could’ve been a dull character. See more Joseph D. @JoeyD 4d Wow. Cliche after cliche. See more Erik E @RT18345650 Apr 6 I think this movie has heart, and should be viewed as a fantasy movie.. I think it is better than its rumor and thouroughly good entertainment. See more Big D. @ihatethisintrusion Mar 22 Decent action adventure, lots of good special effects. See more Mikel O @RT91580534 Mar 11 Another incredibly underrated film from the Wachowskis. Most of the folks that are giving it bad reviews just aren’t able to really take in the quirkiness and creativity of their work. Mila Kunis is fantastic, Channing Tatum not quite so but it’s still incredibly enjoyable. Seeing Terry Gilliam in a cameo that has callbacks to his masterpiece Brazilsays everything you need to know about this film and the intelligence behind it. If you’re not able to enjoy quirky funny creativity then I pity you this won’t be for you. See more Read all reviews
