01/24/2011 assertive, arrogant, a man of character. coarsely saying: AN OFFENSIVE LAD. though ppl around (even his biological brother) can rarely stand him, kj is convinced of his genius-- talents are LEGALLY allowed to be offensive (the so-called 'artists' temper'),coz it somewhat differentiates them from laymen! but the thing is you can't deny kj is indeed a somebody whose thoughts can hardly be found nowadays-- especially among HK teenagers! btw i don't see the point of rating it IIB-- perhaps it's that kj is way too code-mixing (actually it's quite difficult to hear what he said exactly...not that his english is too good but his lazy sound is very disturbing) or he mentioned several 'fucking asshole' i guess? See more 01/21/2011 It's my favourite in 2009; the reality is cruel and life is full of tears. See more 01/04/2011 Frankly, since there aren't many documentaries made in Hong Kong, so this Taiwan Golden Horse winner could stand out. Compare with some similiar docus in other countries, KJ:Music and Life isn't that impressing. Director only captured KJ's 11th and 17th years and edited out this work. Tough the music is nice and KJ's daring and honest attitudes are interesting, throughtout most of the movie, we can only hear some repetitive conversations and point of views. And the final scene about KJ's honest feeling about his dad really saves the documentary. I am wondering, what if KJ doesn't that hate his dad or doesn't want to talk about his hatred in front of the camera, how can this movie end or look interestng? See more 12/27/2010 This movie is very human. I don't really have much commets because this is about life of a real human being, and no one, except he himself, has the right to judge. See more 10/10/2010 It was on theaters about a half of 2009. No empty seat was seen on every show. The main attraction at it was a biography of a little boy who is a genius on classical music. At the start, I felt not good on his haughtiness. His conduct was not matched with his age. But when learning more about him during the film, you would be so impressed by his nature. He thought about human being. He was exhausted between life and death. It cannot be denied that he is an extraordinary teenager See more 10/06/2010 完美的音樂,不完美的人生!!! 感覺很多.... See more Read all reviews
