When Oskar (Kåre Hedebrant), a sensitive, bullied 12-year-old boy living with his mother in suburban Sweden, meets his new neighbor, the mysterious and moody Eli (Lina Leandersson), they strike up a friendship. Initially reserved with each other, Oskar and Eli slowly form a close bond, but it soon becomes apparent that she is no ordinary young girl. This is a beautiful story of a young girl who happens to be a blood sticking vampire, and as we see her story progress, you can't help but feel for the young Miss. I enjoyed this probably more than most as I'm a fan of all things Horror and Sci-fi. The atmosphere and setting make this film quite a thrill for the senses.

I tried watching this 15 years ago and turned it off because it sucked. I tried watching it again now. It was just as bad. Predictable and filled with boring filler with only something happening at the end. If you are a regular person and not one of those film critics on here that tend to love movies where nothing happens because ooh la la the lighting was good and there'seuropeans doing weird shit wow, then don't bother with this movie. It's garbage at best.
