A former music producer turned stockbroker (Ice T) tries to make his musical comeback by mentoring a beautiful nightclub singer-dancer (Cindy Herron Braggs). The two fall in love despite the backstabbing of the players and gangsters that surrounds the music business. Co-stars Richard Brooks, Gary Busey, David Alan Grier, Fred "The Hammer" Williamson and Glenn Plu.
