Ever since childhood, nerdy Danny O'Shea (Rick Moranis) has felt inferior to his brother, Kevin (Ed O'Neill), a former college football star. Danny runs a gas station, while Kevin coaches the local youth football team. When Kevin's team rejects Danny's daughter, Becky (Shawna Waldron), because she's a girl, Becky convinces her dad to start a rival team, though the city can support only one. To prove himself against his brother, Danny begins coaching his team of misfits for a playoff game.

Working in two platoons, [the four screenwriters] have skillfully removed all vestiges of originality from this story, and turned in a perfectly-honed retread of every other movie about how a team of losers wins the big game.

Watched Little Giants this year. This is a great sports movie with both Ed O’Neil and Rick Moranis. It is about a girl named Becky who does not make the football team. Her dad Danny O’Shea, who is the brother of a famous football player, starts a team of players that get cut or are always the last on the team. The town says you can only have one town team and they go against each other in a big game. The storytelling is a great part of this movie and the acting with Rick Moranis not giving up is a valuable part of this movie. Overall I would rate this movie 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. My favorite scene is when John Madden and the players come out and play with Danny's Team. I would recommend this movie.

Little Giants is an underrated sports comedy classic. Rick Moranis and Ed O’Neill do a fine job as brothers who coach opposing football teams. The real stars of this film are the kids, who each get their opportunity to shine and deliver some of the finest child actor performances of the 1990s. Little Giants is endlessly quotable and delivers one laugh line after another. On top of that, it’s got a great message for both boys and girls. It scores five stars for being a multi-generational-friendly watch that every member of the family can enjoy.

This is one of my favorite childhood movies. It's funny. It's entertaining. It's appropriate for the family. The kids did a great job. Yeah, the plot of an underdog team pulling it together at the last minute for the victory probably has been done a million times, but who cares. I don't feel like every movie has to groundbreaking. I watch movies to be entertained, and I was.

A heartwarming movie with a lovely message for all kids playing sports. It was one of my favourite movies as a kid and I recently rewatched it (unexpectedly on a flight) with unmitigated joy.
