No one will claim that the pre-teen market is saturated with movies for girls, thus The Lizzie McGuire Movie is a welcome addition that fills the bill...

A fantasy that teaches girls that popularity and material possessions are the most important things in life and will fall right into your lap if you're adorable enough.

Lizzie may be cheesy and disappointingly straight-laced but all in all she's a bit of fun.

Passable entertainment for the young teen set that's far from memorable, but at least offers a few sparks of life.

Quick to capitalize on one of its assets, now that the 65-episode cap of Lizzie McGuire has been fulfilled, Disney has turned around and popped out a pay-per-view version.

A fresh and fabulous Cinderella fantasy, Lizzie McGuire is a delightful charmer about a young girl who dreams of being a pop star.

Movie's like this aren't supposed to be perfect in structure and form - they're for 13-year-olds who don't care that Lizzie doesn't speak the language or that her suitor's Italian has a hint of Brooklyn in it.

While the movie should prove to be manna from sit-com heaven for the show's fan base of kids ages 6-14, there's not much here to excite accompanying parents.

The film is corny, predictable, and manipulative to the point that you feel like there's electrodes attached from the screen to your brain, but, by the end of this film, I'll be damned if I didn't feel genuine affection for it and Lizzie in particular.

The songs had you wanting to dance along and sing and it's a real teen movie. I think I'll always have a soft spot for this film. It's a guilty pleasure and Lizzie McGuire was a noughtie's favourite on the Disney Channel. Smart move making a film from it.

Saw this years ago by accident on a plane. Seriously, only if you are a fan of the T.V. show then see it, if you aren't, stay FAR away.
