El ingenio para crear las situaciones cotidianas combinándolas con humor corporal y de acción es simplemente hermoso. El cine en ese entonces estaba en sus primeros pasos, pero aún así nos regalan historias y situaciones que nos hacen pasar un buen rato. Es nostálgico quizás, ver como ha evolucionado el cine, como en sus comienzos se estaba creando un lenguaje y lo ha traído a lo que es hoy, y que de hecho aún se conservan muchas cosas. Considero que esta es una de las películas que se tienen que ver al menos una vez en la vida. If you judge it by today's standards you may call it "boring" or "weird", but the chaotic nature of the film is what the Keystone formula was all about. Chaplin hadn't developed his infamous "Tramp" character for this film, rather he plays a shady character who runs around harassing the character played by director Henry Lehrman. It's a silly fun short that not only shows us Chaplin's debut but a glimpse into life in 1914.
